I'm not as knowledgeable with hosting, so wondering if people could help me with seeing what's going on with my site and why Site5 has told me I'm using excessive resources. I have a Wordpress site.

My site is mashupasia.com and I average about 40-50 hits per day (ranges between 20-100 hits per day, usually on the low end). But Site5 has me having this much Usage and after I asked them what the biggest problems were, they also gave me the below information:

The support person said that it was only in the last 3 days that it increased significantly. I didn't know where to check, so I went and checked AWStats and came up with the information below:

(Date - Pages - Bandwidth):
May 6 - 366 - 74 MB
May 7 - 657 - 111 MB
May 8 - 351 - 111 MB
May 9 - 564 - 102 MB
May 10 - 397 - 85 MB
May 11 - 251 - 68 MB
May 12 - 1645 - 69 MB
May 13 - 4278 - 42 MB

I do see a huge jump in "Pages" though and not sure what "Pages" means exactly.

I also looked and saw that there were a lot of 404 error hits on the "wp-login.php" pages. Do you think that my spike in usage was because hackers tried to hack into my site? I've attached a screenshot from AWStats on the 404 error hits.

Not sure what else could be causing excessive resource use. They also mentioned to try and revert back to any changes, but I haven't made any significant changes. All the changes I've made were content changes in individual webpages.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

I immediately responded that I will move the site hogging bandwith to it's own account.

I have been waiting since then to get the site unsuspended so we can move it. I have answered the request 3 more times, sat on hold on the phone and finally asked to leave a VOICE MAIL, and chatted with a very nice but unable to help customer service rep who told me an hour ago her supervisor would "look into it".

Come on folks. This site owner is waiting to comply and I can't get an answer out of anyone.
